Default tire and wheel insurance

I hit a big pothole and there is a chunk missing on the tire and a big scratch on the wheel. I am pretty sure that the tire will be replaced (as it is on the side wall), but I am not sure about the wheel. Will the wheel scratch be repaired? I just want to know what to expect from the service geniuses.

You would be a fool to put that through your insurance. The increase in rates over the next 4 or 5 years could pay for a set of 4 wheels and tires. I'd just pay for it out of pocket and use it as a lesson to avoid big potholes!
