Tire stretching
Just curious how good stretched tires are for performance. Do you have to take corners slower if you have stretches tires on your car? In the Hyundai scene, gencoupes are the only ones I see doing stretched tires. I personally wouldn’t ever do it but it made me wonder if performance degrades with them.
more tire = more performance. They don't GIVE any performance, merely for looks, but you can run them pretty hard. They aren't going to pop off or anything. Yes, the Gen Coupe crowd enjoys the stretched look, it makes it easier to run 10.5" or 11" rear wheels with less camber, but they aren't going ridiculous like some that I've seen. Even the more aggressive stretches I've seen on the GC have rarely reported stretch problems... only one person particular, and he had multiple problems with the same wheel, probably related to a problem with the bead.

I hate the look and it doesn't give your rims any protection. On my fronts I have the stock size tire 225.45.18 on a wider than stock rim at 8.5" and it is a tad bit stretched.
some people put stretched tires just to clear the fenders barely, and it also puts additional stress to the sidewall.
i see imminent tire failure waiting to happen cause the sidewalls are getting nicked and sliced by the sharp edged fenders everytime they hit a speed bump or dip on the road,
all this hellaflush and excessive and pointless negative camber FTL!!!
