Default Overtightening lug nuts

Other than it being impossible to remove them, unless you have a breaker bar or air tools...what other problems can happen if your lug nuts are tightened up too much from a mechanic?

Your wheel studs can snap, your wheel could be damaged, clearances can be compromised depending on the design of the hub.

If they aren't tighten fairly evenly then you can warp the rotor.

almost all hyundais use 80 ft lbs of torque for each lugnut,

if they cross thread em or stretch them..make the service manager replace em.

i always put a note on my work invoices if i had tough time unbolting the lugs on customer cars

Every knuckle dragging tyre fitter I've ever had to deal with rattles up my lug nuts to ungodly levels. I literally have to stand on my four foot breaker bar just to crack em.
