Hey man..it doesn't matter what kind of rim you get as long as the bolt pattern is 4x114.3 and the offset is between +38 and +42.

Good luck!

For 17" rims.

7 or 7.5 wide
114.3x4 lug pattern
+38 to +42 offset

Tires up to 215 wide are okay.

Use this http://www.c5-corvette.com/tirecalc.htm

If you get the right wheel size that does not affect your odometer, and it 215 or narrower, it will not rub even with a 2" drop. The wider your go, the more you increase the chance of rubing with a drop.

Smaller speeds up your speedo, and decreases the chances of you rubbing (but increases the miles on your car)

you have any close up pic's? how much did you get the rims for? 350.00 plus 75.00 for shipping on Ebay. Are these really shinny chrome rims? Or just silver?

Recently I went into a local tire shop to buy a new tire and rim package for my 2000 Elantra and one of the guys there told me the only rims that could be placed on my Elantra were these cheap looking rims, he said the reason was due to a screw or clip on the caliper? What's the deal with that? How is it that I've seen other Elantras with Aftermarket rims mounted.. what's the deal? Do I need to go with a Hyundai Rim for the clip to be able to remain? I'd like to know what's the deal.

Go to a different tire shop. Those guys are morons!

Some older (1998 or older) had Captive rotors. They basically had 4 extra bolts in the rotor. New hyundais only have 2 screws in the rotor. Those two screws can be removed safely with no adverse effects, or simply replaced with countersunk screws.

I wish I would have known... I dropped 400 bucks for new tires on the factory wheels...What an idiot... All I wanted were 15' Enkei 5 Star Rims! Now I'll have to wait until next summer.... Thanks Random!

Don't feel bad. www.tirerack.com still hasn't updated their site to the fact that 1999 and new tiburons/elantras don't have captive rotors...

They also haven't realized that the 2000 Elantra is the same bodystyle as the 99... tongue.gif tongue.gif tongue.gif
