Default Suspension ? for the pros

If you were to lower the front end slightly with a small drop spring, like Eibach, and left the back end in with the stock suspension (giving the car a small raked appearance), how much would the handling suck going around turns? Would you have to do something to the back end to compensate for the front end having better suspension in it?

You wouldn't have to, but it would handle pretty weird.

I'll go out on a limb and say most people wouldn't even notice a difference of an inch of geometry change, if the spring rates were close. A race driver, yes, of course. A commuter, not so much.

So you're going to drop the front end 1.2" and use stiffer springs, but leave the stock struts up front???? and leave the stock suspension in the rear?

Uh, yeah, you'll notice that it handles like crap. If you change the springs, change the dampners (strut/shock) @ the same time.

Also, consider bushings and front/rear swaybars while you are at it, or as your next modification after the springs/struts.

i think it is impossible to answer this question correctly without a proper drawing of the suspensions at the front and rear, with the centres of gravity F + R etc etc. my guesstimate would be that the back will lose some grip relative to the front, and you'll need to re-align your tires and headlights.

LOL Random it already handles poorly if the stock struts are still in place!
