Suspension differences between Elantra and Tib please
I just bought a second hand ’97 Tib in good shape (20 k miles on it) and I’m planning to change the stock suspension for the H&R-KYB setup I now have on my 1.6 Elantra. I understand the suspension is the same for both, so I shouldn’t have any problems, should I?
Also, I’d like to use the SR Strut brace setup I have on the Elantra, does anybody know if they both (Front and Rear) would fit? It seems the front strut brace is going to fit but I don’t know about the rear one.

wow a '97 w/ only 20k miles??? good find! I believe tiburon is 'loosley' based on the elantra chassis.
Here are specs.. Tib's on left Elantra on right.
.................'97 Tiburon.....'97 Elantra
Wheelbase.....97.4"...........100.4"
Length.........170.9"..........174"
Height..........51.3............54.9
Width...........68.1............66.9
Weight..........2566lbs.........2688lbs
so i'd say the tib is shorter in height shorter in wheel base and lighter.

the springs and shocks will fit however... The rear springs will probably make the back end of the tib sit too high. You front springs should work good and the four struts should be good also. I would say you can try but you will probably need to get different springs to be happy with the stance in the back
