Strut bar

i dont see how CC would interfere... its just another part on the side of the TB.. it doesnt sit up any higher than the normal throttle cable
That's why I think it only applies to the 03's (GKs)
Cuz that CC sucker is VERYMUCH in the way.
However, the AOS bar for the 03's will fit.
I'm not sure what's in the way preventing the strut bar from fitting. Can somebody let me know? I have an OBX strut bar on order that should be here Monday.
yeah I know about that sensor, you just unscrew something and rotate it to the side, but I thought they were talking about something else that wasn't able to be moved. Oh well, I guess I'll see it Monday... or whenever I get my car back

Sure thing guys, I forgot I took pictures of a way to fix that sensor in place when you install the strut bar. I'll try to get that up tomorrow or Monday and link it here.
OK, let's set this straight for everyone.
THE STRUT BARS WILL FIT RD'S WITHOUT A PROBLEM TO THE CRUISE CONTROL

I have NEVER seen an issue with the RD's not fitting any kind of strut bar.
The GK's are the ONLY ones I know of that have the issue with the CC unit. And from experience, the AOS style (with the bend) are the only ones that will fit correctly
Anyway, for the RDs
Only thing you have to move is the knock reference sensor, located on the driver's side strut top. You have a couple of options;
1. bend it a bit and leave it in the same place:

Instructions here:
http://www.speedstate.com/Hyundai_Section/...ront_strut.html
2. Do what I and a few others have done and move it to the back of the strut tower:

X marks where it was and it's kinda hard to see, but follow the red wire loom, you'll see it. It sits where the Clutch filler thingy is, all you need is a washer which will hold it up and you should be able to use the existing screw.
Hope that clears things up for everyone.

OB? or OBX?
Kay.. your images aren't showing up for me, but that speedstate link is similar to what I was looking for on HA... I thought I remembered seeing it on HA but wasn't able to find the post.
Edit: Somehow, when I viewed the post later on, KayJai's images showed up... maybe my comp's messin' up again :x Is the second picture an OBX Strut Bar?
