I don't think so, especially on stock suspension... I bet you'll want to lower it further down the track though.

OP ran 215/40-17 tyres with a 2" drop & only rubbed occasionally. Worst case scenario, you may need to get the guards rolled if you do lower it.

You might even consider getting a 225 series tire because I have 7" wide rims and my 215's are even with the edges of the rim. Just a suggestion, but I know that would probably make rubbing even more of an issue.

Your buying new Rims? thats Awesome. However, do you still have captive rotors in the front? from what I understand, most aftermarket rims wont fit until you swap to a non-captive setup.

What years do you have to swap rotors? Isn't it like 00-01??

Dangit. All I read was the new member FAQ.
http://www.rdtiburon.com/index.php?showtop...=captive+rotors
It just makes the distinction between 1st and 2nd gen tibbys.
So in answer to Xtremes question, the years you have to do the swap are 97-98. Any tibby after that should be fine.

Ok, well i think for sure i'm gonna get the Konig Prophets (17 X 7.5). Do you think i would be able to get away with 225/40/17 tires without ANY rubbing. I'm all stock right now (not lowered). Or would it be a better idea to go with the 215/40/17's.

Also any opinions on the rims are welcome!

Heres a better pic.

Thanks!

Sorry, going with the 215/40/17's.
