Steering wheel shaking
well alingment isnt going to just cause your wheels to shake it will cause u to pulling or even feel like u fighting the road triyng to keep it str8 the shake will be a balance prob , or even a out of round tire one or more tires could have movement and 2 ways to fix that turn the tire 180 degree's and balance and hopefully it does use at much weight 2nd just replace that out of round tire, also it depends where your having them balanced at some shops have better balancer's dealers most of the time have the up to date stuff and not ur old dealers go to a dealer that just got built, i work in a shop all the time and balance 20's, deep offset rims , mud tires , etc but also again if you have a frt end part bad ball joint etc u will get the same prob , hope that help
ahhh, the dead post of the day.
The shaking is gone in my steering wheel!
I had a set of KYB GR2 struts installed with my eibach springs, and a 4 wheel alingment.
The ride is awesome now.
So I am not sure if it was the struts or the alingment.
For anyone else having the problem of the steering wheel shaking I would suggest get and alingment first (it is cheaper) and see if that fixes it. If not then a new set of struts might be on order.

in all honesty...and i know this is an old post: an alignment has NOTHING to do w/ shaking at high speeds. i just have to throw that out there... it's what i do for a living
the only way it does is if a Technician does somethin stupid like leaving the tie rod adjustment loose or somethin

im not saying i know nearly as much as you shark, cuz i dont, but i test drove my car before i bought it and i noticed that on the highway the steering wheel shook a lot and i asked the guy about it, and he said they would look at it. then when i bought it i asked him if they took care of the shaking and he said they did an alignment and now it should be fine. and its driven perfect since then. but you said its your job so maybe they did something else too, who knows.
