My car has a anoying squeaking noise that is coming from the rear right side. It only makes the noise when it is hot out though. The noise kind of sounds like squeaking door hinges. If I get out and push on the right corner I hear the noise also. The squeaking is bad and just by pushing on the gas it makes the noise. Could it be that I need new bushings?

If you are asking about needing new bushes, I assume you don't have any kind of poly bushings (like Yayas). So, NO don't use white lithium grease, that's only for poly bushings, for the OEM bushings just the std grease is alright. I don't know if lithium grease can harm OEM bushings, but if normal grease harms poly maybe the oposite can happen also, besides it's more expensive than just ordinary grease.

Try greasing the Sway bar bushings first, then see if the problem has gone, if not try another set and try again, until you find which bushing is responsible for the noise. Oh, and keep us posted on this.

If you can hear the squeak when just pushing down on the car.. why not enlist some help? Have a friend/brother/girlfriend/guy walking down the block push down on the car while you lay beneath it enough to see where the squeak is coming from?

I think you can even spray WD-40 on the bushings, but it will not work for a long.

yup wd-40 will last only a day or so. use grease on the bushing but use a sclicone based grease. if you use any other kind the rubber will rot and fail ..

My guess is one of 3 things
Sway bar bushing(s)
Endlink or
Strut

I'm leaning more to strut, as it only happens on that side, and acceleration won't cause much movement in your swaybar,...
But yeah, get a buddy to push on it while you see where it's coming from,...

stuts and swaybar moves during acceleration/braking almost equal
cause both of them attach to the body on the one side and arm on the other. (sway bar will be moving in 2 bushings up (or down)
