How wide do you want your tires to be and what size wheels do you have (are they stock)?

Yeah, I've got 8mm alloy wheel spacers front & back.

You could prolly go to 10mm spacers without the need for longer studs but I stuck with 8mm just to be safe. I got them to improve the handling by giving the car a slightly wider footprint & also to help fill out the guards a bit.

BTW, I still have stock wheels & tyres (205/50-R15).

do u have a pic from the back where you can see how much they come out, and i think that 8mm would probably be good, is it difficult to get longer studs

I used to know what they required in the way of engaged threads when you go racing.. I think it is eight to ten, but I could be wrong.

Replacing the studs should just be a matter of removing the old and installing new. I am pretty sure they are a press fit design, you will need to find a way to knock them out of the hub... installing is easier.. all you need is a spacer and a open nut (not a lug nut) to thread onto it and pull it through.

coming from someone who knows... make sure you have plenty of time and lotsa tools to change the bolts out... they do break quite easily and when they break, they are a royal PITA to take out. good luck if you are gonna be doin something like that...

Mate, I wouldn't worry about changing to longer studs... As cdog said, it's gonna be a major pain! Not needed either unless you're thinking about going for thicker than 10mm spacers... & if you do that you may need to roll your guards too. If you do go out & get the longer studs, they should be pretty easy to find.

I think you need a full 3 turns of the wheel nut for it to be safe. So if you go for 8mm spacers you've easily got those 3 full turns & more.

I've been meaning to take some pics of the car anyway so I'll try to take some close-up pics of the wheels & how close they are to the guards but I've also lowered my car around 35mm so it may not give you an accurate idea of how yours will look.

EDIT*: These are the same as the spacers I've got... I got them locally for around $20 a pair...

Initially I was worried about the fact they were a universal 4 stud spacer... I wasn't sure if they would sit exactly right with the wheels on but I've had them on for a while now & I've had no problems with them. The wheel hub seems to have a slight curve towards the main centre nut so they centre themselves as you tighten the wheel nuts.

I'm pretty sure someone on here has made their own spacers... BillyDee I think. Maybe you could hit him up for some?

I assume if you got the wheel spacers and put them on your front tires you could run much wider tires without any trouble of rubbing. Am I getting this right?

btw, kspec sells them with bolts already.
