Spinning out tires is common at larger car shows. They have competitions for big money and new tires.

More recently, spinning tires has been labeled cool.. http://www.nopidrift.com/ http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0463985/ But that's strictly for rear wheel drive vehicles.

It's really about what you're into, and what you appreciate. For me, I really like to go to a show, smell burning rubber and see a huge cloud of red white and blue smoke comming my way. It dosn't matter if it's a front wheel drive or a rear wheel drive. As long as they can lay enough smoke to satisfy my nostrils, I'll cheer for them!

You pretty much have to have two wheels breaking traction for it to be a good burnout.

Regardless of whether you think burnouts are cool, what is undoubtedly completely pointless is throwing tinted tires for the purpose of making colored smoke on a completely stock engine open diff tib.

Good luck getting decent smoke out of one tire with stock engine, let alone anything impressive with both tires, and even if you do that your clutch (or worse) is history after a few times.

I was able to get some pretty decent smoke after about 10 seconds of burning out with my nankang NS-1 tires. They sucked so badly that they wouldn't get any traction. I always burn out my old ruber before I put on new. I must say, I can cloud out a parking lot pretty well with just one wheel spinning, and not to mention leave a pretty good divot in the ground.

Though, pro burnout guys will have corvette engines in a civic or some crazy shlt like that. Civics are a favorite car for every event, there's usually a couple in a burnout competition. I think a stock tiburon engine would leave something to be desired... But you may be able to lower the rear end to shift the gravity, throw on a nitrous kit, get a limited slip-diff and have a pretty good burnout. It might be worth the time if you're serious.

I seriously love burnouts! It's like candy for my nostrils. They need to make a special tire just for me which you refill with smoke, then when you get crazy on the gas, it dosn't damage the tire, but releases the smoke inside. I'd be one happy naked Tiburon driver!

Thats the dumbest thing ive ever heard, lol.

The point of Burnouts is a demonstration of power with the ability to spin the tires so much that you make a huge cloud of smoke, would be kinda pointless if they made that lol.4

^^ Yeah, but it ruins the tires... With my idea, you give a little and you get alot!
