are the ones you are talking about cheap-o, generic, aluminumish lugs or have you heard all light weight lugs do so? the company that makes these also makes volk wheels, gram lights, g-games, just to name a few-... i'd assume they'd be able to produce a strong yet light weight lug nut.

Ech, I wouldn't skimp on the strength of lugs just to ave a few ounces, and lighter lugs will inherently be at least a little less strong.

Does anyone know of any credible brand lugs that are sold in Retail stores? I like those gorilla spline drives spiffy, The lugs i had were aluminum with a chrome plating and after i got them on the chrome cracked and i had some rusting. Has the finish on everyone elses chrome lugs been pretty durable. Im thinkin i just got some crappy lugs with my set of wheels. Ha ha. Thanks for the feedback thus far.

^^^
You too far away from a discount tire or what? I'd get lugs from them seeing as how they specialize in it long before I'd go to wal-mart.

Well Im in evansville and there are lots of stores like Napa, O'Reilly, Pep Boys, Autozone and such. But the only place ive looked is autozone and they looked really cheap and they were cheap. I guess i want to know what are some quality brands to look for. There are quite a few wheel shops around here too. But im just staying at the campus here i live in Salem IN.

i need small diameter "tuner" lugs for my wheels, so my old forged lugnuts were out of the question. they were super light though, and very strong.

Seriously dude, I don't know why your still trying to decide. Get some Gorilla Lugs. They don't chip, yadda yadda. They are very high quality stuff for cheap. Plus any America's Tire/Discount Tire will replace one if you have a problem with it.

If you get some cheap ass shit from Pep-Boys/Auto-Zone/Napa, Imma slap you! hahaha.

Try other commercial tire centers, like Goodyear, Allen, etc. Places that specialize in tires. They should have the Lugs too.

Personally, i don't understand the purpose of "lightweight" lugs on a daily driven car. You want something strong, not lightweight. If your that concerned about weight, go loose 5 Lbs, I'm sure that will make more of a difference than 10 grams off your lug nut weights. Plus if your that concerned about wheel weight, you would be running 15" Gram Lights, not 16" or 17" rims.

Buy something cheap, sturdy, reliable and something most tire stores can replace. Gorilla man. Gorilla Lugs.

Hahahaha.

Nah, but i've been using Gorilla lugs for years and never had a problem. They don't even rust on the inside of the threads like so much other stuff does. I just get really hyped up about stuff that I know for a fact is good and people get all wishy washy about what I tell them.

I wanna poke them in the head and say: "LISTEN TO WHAT I AM TELLING YOU!" hahaha
