I am looking at new rims/tires and after seaching around for a bit I saw a few posts about captive rotors. Are these on 2001 Tib's on are they only on gen 1?

you have an 01 tibby, you will be fine. just remove the litte brass screw if your new rims to not have cut-outs to go over top of them.

older tibs have captive rotors, with 4 extra large bolts. in that case you would have to find rims that have the cut-outs.
