I get it when I'm in reverse or rolling backwards, never when turning. Sounds like it's coming from near the rear wheels. I have brand new struts less than 2 months old and it occurred before and after those were installed.

Have you inspected your rear sway bar? The mounting brackets might be not tight enough, or one of the the sway bar links might be twisted/loose (it happened to me; the bar was not in correcto position thus in some maneouvers it sounded like a dry metal to metal hit).
