Mine has actually been doing the same thing, started about 3 weeks ago.....I had thought for a while that It might have been some of the stuff in my hatch shifting around, but since most of it is either in my cargo net, or stuffed into the corner behind my sub, its pretty unlikely thats the case.

Mine only does this when turning right at medium to high speeds (Backroads), and mine sounds like more of a thud than a pop. No affect to performance that I can feel, but it is rather unnerving.

I know my suspension is on its last leg (almost 80k miles of abuse will do that ;-)), Maybe its the rear struts bottoming out?

I kinda doubt that, though. Mainly b/c I'm not going THAT fast around these turns when the sound happens.

yeah its more of a thud... but i have KYB struts with about 30k on them.... soo they shouldnt be bad at this point... but if they were bad why would they act up only when its wet?

Mine has a tendency to do the same when I'm cornering in the rain, and I don't keep anything in my car...EVER. I got a service check about 500 miles ago and they didn't say anything was wrong with it when I asked about it...of course my 2 rear tires have no tread left on the inside...

It's probably the bowling ball in your trunk laugh.gif

really thats weird though, and only in rain?? this might sound weird but have some one ride in the trunk, at least with the back seat down. and see if they can get a better idea of what side, etc.

ah, one more idea, maybe something down inside of the spare tire spot.

I am betting on either a bushing on the way out (water is getting into it and then being forced out.. sort of like cracking your knuckles) or you have a loose strut.
