Depends on what you want. What are the specs on each of them? Stuff like the UTQG treadwear number, traction and temperature rating, speed rating, and number of plies has alot to do with what kind of tires you want.

Looks like they're both very similar, save for the different treadwear ratings. In this case you made out pretty good since the 300 treadwear will probably work out better for you (since your car is boosted, right?), and they were 50 bucks cheaper per tire. That is, however, if the choice came down between only the 2 of them.

I would have gotten some Nitto NT 555R's, but that's just personal preference. Looks like John's weapon of choice is Yokohama ADVAN Neova AD07's. The Nitto has a treadwear rating of 100 (just barely DOT legal laugh.gif ) and depending on your size, they're pretty cheap.

Between those 2 tires you got the best ones. I would have gotten a sticker tire though. I always get treadware of 200, my car came with 280 treadware Coopers tires then when I put my Azenis on 200 treadware it was an amazing difference so thats what Ive been getting from now on. IMO for the street 200 treadware is good enough, 300 isnt sticky enough for me because I dont feel like I can get out of as many situations. For the track I always want better so get some tires that are DOT but look basically like slicks with a couple grooves with tread ware like 30 or something, its amazing the diff of handeling.

Sure... but the thing is because of the size 205/45/17 that is hard to find. Here there are plenty of 205/40/17 in different brands. For the track i've some yokohama with 60 treadware.

I had new falken tires when i purchased my tib two years back and I just got them replaced a week ago. They lasted twenty thousand miles and went very very bald. I highly recommend staying away from falken tires.
