Is your car lowered? More than likely with 285 size tires, you're gonna have some rubbing issues for sure going around corners...even if the car isnt lowered. Why would you want to put 19's with 35 series rubber on the car anyway? Unless its a show car...you're literally gonna feel every crack in the ground with those tires, and with such small side walls, its going to be extremely easy to crack or bend the rims if you hit a nasty bump or pot hole.

Also, with 19" rims on...say good bye to performance and your braking ability will be greatly reduced. The biggest I would ever go on a GK is 18" rims, but thats my opinion. dunno.gif

I don't think you could make them fit without liberal amounts of hammer and a dash of jigsaw.

Friend of mine had 19's on his 3rd gen eclipse. He cracked 3 of them in total because he was using 35 series tires too. He didnt even hit that big of bumps each time. ive ridden in the car with him and its very uncomfortable because you feel the road as if you're riding on just the rims themselves. I would hate to put 40 series on my car too because of that. The lowest sidewall I think i would do is 45.

Ugh if your gonna state info
At least make sure its correct

I wish I had my books but a 245/45r17 has about the same size sidewall as a 295/35r17 iirc
It has nothing to do with the fact it has a 35 sidewall

Yeah, I've noticed most people don't understand how tire sizing works.

These tires are just plain huge for a Tib.
