Well, I gained a lot of experience with them over the weekend.

1. I don't notice any negative effects from weight, enertia, or......blah blah.

2. They brake a LOT harder, and really helped me with the autocross I entered at the TX Hyundai Meet. The track they made had a lot of high speed straights that took some heavy braking to slow down enough. They did so well that I took first place out of 40 cars, and I'm on stock suspension. nana.gif

3. I got 2 flats from the autocross. It ate the hell out of my stock tires, so on the way home, I tried to fit the spare tire on, and no, it doesn't fit. Not even close. lol Luckily I brought 2 full size tires.

Yea, it's very close, and if you wanted, you could grind down the edge of the caliper a bit, then paint it ricer red. Just remember, the spare doesn't fit.

Thanks for clearing that up but I do have one question. You mentioned about grinding the caliper down for more room behind the stock wheels. How much would you have to grind to get a good safe fit? I know you said 1/16 but I'd feel better with a little more room. Also can you do the same in the rear? I would want them all to match. Because for now I need to stay with my stock wheels but need brakes.

the rear calipers do a good job as single pistons just get ceramic pads for the extra stoping power.

Since this thread has already been resurrected, I guess I can ask this here... I was wondering for this upgrade which calipers are needed from the XG350 - front or rear? I assume front, but it has not been mentioned and they appear to be different parts.

Yes, the front only. I'm not sure if the rear XG calipers would bolt up, but there's no need.

As for grinding them down, I wouldn't think it would have to be grinded much. If you wanted, you could take off 1/8th inch and try them out with your windows down and listen for it while you take sharp corners. I doubt there's that much flex.

I think wheel spacers may help a lot too. Any size. The car needs them anyways.
