Default Megan Racing coilovers, should I?

I bought my car with 4 dead-ish struts that finally all went, so it's time for an upgrade...

Anyone have any experience with these?

The exact set is MR-CDK-HT97

I'm a control freak, so I'm tickled pink about the prospect of doing a corner balance, setting the ride height a bit lower, dialing everything in, etc.

Stock just wouldn't cut it for me.

I think coilovers are a great idea.

Sounds like they would work well for you.

Mainly worried about getting burned by hidden quality issues or the dreaded "failed after hitting speed bump at 4mph" horrors...

Any other reputable brands out there that make a set that fits?

Megan Racing and BC Racing are assembled in the same factory and are nearly identical. Both are the most popular/common coilovers for the Genesis, great performance for the price.

That sir is a decent brand. you can go worng with that part and i have not heard anything horrific. Worst thing i have heard is they tend to queech after a 10,000 miles ish. but that is fixable. Next best thing is a set of Ksport Pro's!

You can get Megans for $850 shipped, though.

They came in Saturday morning, fedex must have air-dropped the box because the brake hose tabs on the rear pair are bent up...

Easily fixable, but really ticks me off that they'll throw stuff around like that!

Now to wait for the insurance adjuster to tell me if the freaking car is totaled or not...

It's the holidays. Seriously. I've heard a few people fairly upset with poor package handling from the carriers. Not really the vendors or manufacturers fault, but like you said, the carriers must be air dropping packages because they're so busy.
