You say I'm paying an extra $80 for this. You're not in THIS area though. Don't think I didn't shop around before I found this particular speed shop.

BTW, I've seen "decent ASE mechanics" screw up oil changes.

Do I need an alignment after installing springs? Or is it only a suggestion?

What would be a good brand of springs for say a 1.5 to 2 inch drop? I don't want to feel every little crack in the road either.
Thanks, Fishy

I ordered Eibach springs but they haven't arrived yet. Go with a good brand name. They will probably resist sagging or other things. In an old post I think I remember someone say they're Intrax springs were really stiff and gave a bad ride quality.

I agree with Chris. I installed my APEX* coils with no problems. It helps that I've been wrenchin' on cars for over 30 years wink.gif The ride is actually smoother than stock, just not as much wheel travel.

Yellowshark...I'm surprised you said that you have a smoother than stock ride quality now with the Apex springs. My buddy just put them on his ride and he hates it. He likes the drop height, but he said you feel every bump and crevice in the road. Could be because he has 35 series tires on too. rolleyes.gif rolleyes.gif

Oh I'm sure it's those 35'z! Ya' might as well drive on the rims wink.gif I'm not as much saying the ride is smoother, as the feel is better. Smoother transitions, none of that vague feel. Ya' know what I mean? Am I makin' any sence at all I think I'll take a nap now sad.gif

Believe me I know what the springs are for, and I'm not doing it because the drop looks good. I only want 1.5 to 2 inch drop. I just don't want it to be uncomfortable to ride in. I know some shocks are stiffer than others. I want somewhere in the middle.
Thanks Smthnfishy
