Installing The Eibach Pro Kit
Hell I had a hoist and full air tools,...
Everything was fine except for the PITA front bar,... and the spinning endlinks
Had to chop the front 2 off when I installed it, but was able to save all four endlinks when I recently took the full kit off
The front Sway bar is the only PITA.
Best advice is get a piece of 2X4 and pry the engine / tranny forward and have the 2X4 holding / pushing it forward. Then figure out the puzzle to get the front bar out and new one back in.
You will need to take the cross member off and if you can lower the control arms off the spindle,,.... makes life WAY easier!
Good luck!
BTW, HKC, where did you get the kit from?

Kay you're making me scared!!! are the sway bars that much of a difference? why did you have to push the engine forward, is it blocking the installation? do you have any pictures?
right now you can get the entire kit from shox.com but i got mine from ebay. in a way it accumilated to the same price as from shox. the problem is if i ordered from shox i would have to wait a two months as i am waiting for the sway bars to arrive.

lmfao kayjai... i was able to remove the stock front sway bar by using the stock rear sway bar to pry the tranny forward a bit.
getting the new eibach front in was harder though, but i used the stock front sway bar to bang it past a certain obstacle and it popped right in.
hkc, replacing the rear one is cake. the front one is tougher, but still not the hardest thing ive ever done.
i still cannot understand why people had trouble wiht the endlinks. if worst comes to worst, vice grip the thing and it cant spin at all. then small mallet and wrench and it will bust loose.

SEE!!! Pry baby Pry! haha
Anyway, the vise grip with the endlinks don't ALWAYS work,... trust me,....!
Anyway, yeah HKC, once you get underneath, you'll see why you need to pry wink1.gif
You can try WITHOUT,... but you'll have less of a headache afterwards.

If the endlinks don't work, here's how I got it done.
1. Spray down with some WD 40 and let sit for 20 minutes.
2. Get your impact wrench or other tool and TIGHTEN them first, just a bit.
3. Hit the torque wrench in the LOOSEN direction full bore.
Come right off.
