Wider tires do not mean better traction, that's a misconception.

Anyhow, I rolled my fenders with that tool, could of done with a rubber mallet and have the same result. Mind you, I didn't heat the fender and the paint cracked but I don't care because car is getting repainted anyhow if you've seen my bodywork thread.

the only reason why i mention this is because I recently bought a new set of front tires 205 17 40. These are the same size i had before but different brand and where the tire bends into the sidewall is a little bit beefier than my other tires. So for some reason whenever I make a sharp right turn going up a little ramp the wheel was rubbing on the fender and getting cut up. I have a rubber mallet I'm just going to take off the tire and fold it in. I have H&R springs by the way. I think they are 1.7

it's the rebound causing you to rub when you go up that little ramp man. take the corner to the ramp slower and you wont have this problem. or, take it at more of a angle. I have a really crappy entrance to my apt. complex but after a few tries i could get in and out out there was a vader style front bumper riding 2.5" off the ground and being lowered with the same size tires as yours.

sometimes, its just a matter of looking at your driving habits to save wear and tear on your car.

I agree with you on that. But it definitely needs to be rolled because the lip is sticking out. So I need to make sure i tucked in tight against the inside.

You should try with 225/45R17's and lowered... Maybe it's time to re-evaluate the offset on your wheels?
