Default how far can you last on springs?

Just wondering... how long will my car last with aftermarket springs before it starts having a screwed up suspension?

BY screwed up i mean... like when you break.. the car leans foward than back... rocking back and forth

Ive seen some cars around here with that problem

Is there anything i can do?

I know buying the eibach setup with dampners will prevent this

But thats 600 bucks... my car hasnt been that good this year

BTW... i have 17" rims with 40 215 tires

it sounds like the springs are fine. but it does sound like the shocks are shot.

oh im sorry
i dont have springs yet... im deciding on whether to half ass it and go with some regular eighbach springs or go all out and get the dampners too

My car has 17" wheel with 215 tires... so im not sure if ill get rubbing

My real concern is the life of my suspension... it looks nasty when cars roll back and forth

eibachs are a conservative drop... it will be a few years before your shocks become shot. to tell you the truth i wouldn't know the exact timeline.

depends on the condition of the shocks now and how well you drive over bumps and stuff most ppl who have those problems i know of cut their stock springs.

itwill blow if u half ass it....trust me my friend has coil overs on his accord and stock shocks bounces like a mofo and a crap ride its better to just get the springs/damp or just get springs and get some kyb gr2 struts....saves a lil cash

I have had king springs for about two years now and they are still fine. no rocking.
That is with the standard struts. 35mm drop.

I would go for those dampers as my tyres get worn faster than before 205/40/17"
and i always get them aligned it might help?.
i don't think you will be completly happy with springs you should just save up and get struts& springs if i could start again i would....

Stock Setup - Lasts about 60,000 miles

Eibachs on Stock - about 30,000+ miles

Eibachs on Eibach Dampners - about 60,000 miles

I've just heard Eibachs will lower the life of your springs by about half. But if you don't drive it too hard, you shouldn't have problems. I have Eibachs. Granted, I've only had them for about 2000 miles.. but I love them.

He's got 80K on his stock springs/struts as is.

How much longer would you give the stock struts if he were to switch to Ebach springs.

Hmm.. 80K..
Well, he could always just get the springs and put them on, and once he starts getting the bounce, change out the struts. He might get a year off the struts, me may only get 6 months. But if he doesn't have the money for the struts right now, then just do the springs and buy the struts later.
