What kind of costs would I be looking at if I took a wheel design that I came up with, went to some wheel company, and asked them to make it? I know Foose makes custom one off wheels all the time but he also owns his own wheel company too so he can get away with doing it. Im sure it would be pretty expensive but are we talking thousands and thousands or maybe just a grand or two?

 

i would bet much more than a grand or two.. probably looking at around 5000 minimum i would think.. but i have never looked into something like that before.



depends on how they would be made also.. if they were CNC'd out of a chunk of aluminum alloy, the cost would probably be outrageous for the material alone.

 

A friend of mine paid € 2500 per wheel for his AC Schnitzer BMW Z4.

It depends on the wheels you want I guess. What you can do is get a wheel (forged alloys are lighter and more durable than cast alloys) and have a centerpiece design put on it.

 

there has to be over a million different rims out there, I'm sure you can find one that you like without having to do a one off custom set!
