well, if I have to replace my springs and struts, I won't be able to upgrade the rear brakes to disc. However, I do need to replace the lining on the shoes. Upon inspection, it looks like the shoe/lining are one unit, but I've seen drum brake linings for sale at auto parts sites for our cars.

Anyone know if they have to be together as one unit or if you can just replace the lining seperately?
