Not to mention, aren't Tiburons Unibody's? Where the body is integrated with the frame?

almost cars today are unibodys, only really trucks and a few other cars actaully have a seperate frame that the body sits on.

Yeah, but it's not a frame, it's a sub-frame. It seems that it is far less stable than a vehicle with an actual frame. I think it has a lot to do with a crumple zone, should the vehicle be in a collision

I just find it funny that you want to bolt in all these dubious bars into your car... but you wan't put a simple roll hoop in... especially when the rollhoop is a known chassis stiffener

roll hoops is another name for a rollbar.. not a cage mind you.. just a single hoop up and behind the front seats and a pair of diagonal bars down to somewhere around the rear strut towers....

I don't mean to bring you down Redz, but chassis stiffening on the RDseries tibs is rather unnecessary in my opinion. Because of the cars rear hatch design, high rear load-in height, triangular rear windows, unibody frame design, etc. the chassis of the car is stiff enough for sports driving already.

The only proof of this I need to see is that autocrossers routinely lift a rear wheel off the ground.
You may get a small bump in cornering performance with some chassis stiffening, but you money is better spent elsewhere. I.e. springs, struts, anti-roll bars, strut tower bars, TIRES.

I laugh every time I see a honda driving around with $5000 worth of suspension and wheels on $49.95 all-season specials from the local tire mart. whats the freakin' point? But I digress.

If you want these items for "show", thats a different story.

I will agree that the tib is stiff enough to lift a wheel. I once got stuck in an alley because of that. I had a VERY full trunk and the alley had a deep dip in the centre for drainage. When I pulled out of the storage garage I had.. the driver's side front wheel came off of the ground and just spun.... what was interesting.. I could push down on the front during this and support the entire car on just two wheels.. And yes, I could open and close the doors easily while the car was thus supported.
