My brakes are squealing like crazy during light braking....I took the calipers off to check if it was the squealer bars, from the pads being too low. Pads were fine, tons of meat left. So I just scored things up with some sand paper to take away any glazing and put everyting back together. Still squealing, any ideas as to what it could be?

Try putting some anti-squeal compond on the back of the pads. I think I know someone who sells that wink1.gif

Probably the material the pad is made out of. Some materials do that even if they're fresh I think.

^ ^ Ya semi-metalic pads like to squeal. ceramic dont squeal as bad(and have less brake dust) but are generally higher cost and wear rotors faster. catch .22

I'm running the stock brake pads with drilled/ slotted rotors. May have to change to a harsher pad. Not that it's bad or anything, it's just embarassing when you pull up to a light. Pimped out car and skreeeeeeeech!!!! lmao.gif
