OK, I have rotorpros rotors and pads. Rotors are the Kia ones for the XG swap, pads are XG-350 Pads. I have the XG calipers as well obviously. Today when taking the car to storage (pulled, havent driven it yet) there was a horrible grinding especially from the front left. When I look it seemed as though the rotor on the very edge had been eaten away a little or something and there were wierd marks on the rotors. The rear was also making some noise but could have been the backing plate. Anyone had any issues with these rotors or have any suggestions. Its going on blocks tomorrow so Ill pull the wheels and take some pics. Maybe it will be obvious but I wanted to put it up to see if anyone else had any problems. I know only a few have done the swap and theyre probably not on tonight but if they see this it would be nice to post up a reply. Thanks

And I know what bad brakes sound like. They work fine and are all brand new. just dont want anything happening where Im going to need new ones right away. Ill try to see if its hitting the caliper somehow but I doubt it.

you probly have something touching the brakes. Check the slide plates to make sure they're installed right.

Im sure theyre fine. I was actually very careful putting them in. And Ive done a ton of brake jobs. Im going to take a close look at it in the next couple days and see where the problem is.

Is it kinda a dull hissing sound when the brakes are applied? That sound is normal if you put on new rotors and pads.

No, its a loud grind. And a part of the rotor is like shaved off almost. Ill post pics when I can. I was just seeing if anyone else had any issue like this. I didnt have a chance to look at it when I dropped it off.

Check the slides. I had the same problem and one of the slides had gotten stuck. I took it out applied some grease and was good to go.

i've had the same thing happen to mine. what happened was the rotor was crooked andthe caliper was striking against the rotor. i had to get a new caliper and rotor because they were just eating each other away.

rotor was smooth but you could definitely see lots of metal particles! check for particles. and beware asbestos. they now make ceramic asbestos free pads which is like, "whaaaat took so long?"
