i heard that with konis, when it blows you can fix it by changing the valve or chamber really easy. so like the konis are i guess cheaper to repair, when compared to the agx. AGX is adjustable from 1-4 in the front and 1-8 in the rear. u can tell the diff from adjusting them.

the inserts-
- you have to cut up ur stock shocks
- remove the stuff thats inside the strut
- drill a hole on the bottom of the strut
- insert strut insert so that the stud on the bottom goes through the hole-
- tighten the nut to the bottom and yea..


there is a diy i found on google when i was in the market for struts.

 

damn i did not know that! thanks rd1! hmm... i'm up for that if it's really worth the strut. i fount eibach struts on ebay for our cars!!!! maybe that's the better pick although not cheap, i think if eibach designed it as an entire system that would probably be the best. i might just go with the eibach struts now i mean it's really a shame they don't sell them anymore. i will write a big review on it once it's all done.

 

when we put my cousins bilstein's on his m3 they were stiff as hell. rode real good. handling was improved significantly.

 

well i ended up ordering the eibach springs and dampers afterall. i didn't want to mix and match unwillingly ending up with a result that doesn't fit my use. the reason i did so is because i've read a bunch of reviews that bilsteins are kind of on the stiff side.

they do look of really good quality. the reviews were for BMW's and Volkswagens. They must be really good however i need something that can absorb the shock more than it can repel it.

t01 you said they do this in autoxing? so it is possible to just swap out the struts and just keep the stock springs? i still don't understand how the ride quality would be. but i know from driving my dad's elantra all the time that his B+G springs, while being a bit bouncy, make a really cool ride.

 

sorry about the bump i didn't want to make a new thread on a noob question but when you get the eibach pro kit on you need to do alignment right? eibach sells pro kit alignment sets for +1.75 adjustment or can i have it adjusted regardless?

(price is a little overboard, but i'd rather it be ebay for a product eibach doesn't distribute anymore)

 

yeah when ever you do ur suspension stuff you shoudl do your alignment so that your tires would wear out evenly.

the alignment kit they sell i think is the camber kit. you could be fine without it if your drop isnt too drastic. When i dropped my ride 2.5+ (i think), my camber was pretty screwed up with the bottom of the wheel sticking out more than the top and toe was messed up as well. So i got the obx camber kit to fix it.

Stock have adjustable toe and camber but then they can be adjusted only so far.

by the way, shox.com has awesome customer service. the guy was really sincere. and they have the eibach complete kit if you want to order the dampers, tirerack also has them but they have to order from eibach themselves. from shox it's going to be mid-october when i get the antiroll kit which is good there's lots of nasty construction goin' on in d.c. area.

 

you gotta be kidding me, your dont seriously cut you springs out of your suspension do you? You do know thats what a coli spring compressor is for right??
