Hey guys, I'm looking at shox.com. They had eibach struts for sale a year ago and to my loss they don't sell them anymore but they do sell koni struts and bilstein struts. my dad's elantra has B+G springs, they're great, a little corrosion but they have taken quite a beating and are 2 inches drop which would devour my f2 bumper if i swapped them. i need your help to get the setup i need. i do not want bottoming out yet i do not want a hard ride. i would like a quick bouncy recovery.

KYB are just like stock struts. I have one on my car.
koni struts, you guys familiar with them? hard soft?
bilstein struts, any thoughts on those? i don't remember anybody having them here.

i want good struts to go with my eibach springs and sway bars. open to suggestions because i'm ordering very soon.

konis are adjustable i believe. billsteins are known to be some of the best suspension components you can buy.

that is a technique used in auto-x though. swapping out the stock struts (thus lowering the high underdamping that you get with a stock setup) with some aftermarket struts will give you better feel, yet still keep you in the stock category.

You have the eibach springs and swaybars - I know when I had a ride in KayJai's car when he still had the whole eibach kit in it, is was very nice. Super tight but just as comfortable as stock.
anyways, HP has the struts listed here http://shop.hyundaiperformance.com/shop/it...?i=EBH_4210.840 .
I never browse the HP forums, the guys on there would probably know, but it looks like maybe they have them in stock?

the cheapest ive ever seen agx struts was like 410 plus like 70 bux shipping...

to me if you figure in the fact that you might need some new strut toppers and springs you might as well get the ksports for 800...

yeah i definitely am buying the eibach sway and springs, that's a must!! i hear it from anyone, that they're a really good match.

here are the bilstein:

you really think you have to cut open the stock struts to put these in david? how so? yeah it doesn't sound fun at all. they look like regular struts except without the inserts. are the stock inserts welded to the our struts or something that would get in the way of throwing aftermarket ones in? these are priced at $400 for a pair of four. you think the KYB AGX's would be slightly easier choice? on the ebay link it's $469 though i'd rather have a strut you can just throw in with ease.

i read konis are really stiff and i know KYB's are really stiff as well. i read a lot of reviews for bilstein saying it made magnificent improvements. how difficult would it be to throw the bilsteins on? i'm wondering if anyone ever had these on an rd tiburon!

by the way, thanks you all.

Sorry mate but it made me laugh.

The Koni inserts are meant to be some of the best. Bilstein don't make shit either. I don't think you could go far wrong with either. KYBs are alright but not brilliant... although the AGXs offer damper adjustment, which would be handy.

I have my old stock struts in a box at my old place. I can have a good look at their construction tomorrow for you. I'm going around to see the dog.
