wow sorry guys guess I was wrong, but don't worry I'm still asking why so much, supposedly it has something to do with the rear discs system...

QUOTE
Hi Yuri,

The rear kit for the Tiburon would be a 2 piece 12-13" kit, that would
contain an internal drum parking brake (for those that already have rear
disc) and the same Forged Dynalite 4 piston calipers, performance pads,
brackets and hardware, stainless steel braided brake lines, and
instructions.
We are pricing this kit at $1400.00, and if you were able to come up with 5
people for the initial order, Daryl has agreed to give them all 10% off
because you are the one organizing it (We usually only do this for group
orders of at least 10 people).

The people that have rear drum, are going to have to arrange to get the
proper rear set up for the kit to work.

Let me know if you need any more information, and I look forward to hearing
from you.
Regards
Virgil Ray

wow...that's thermonuclear overkill for rear brakes. Any chance they could work out something a tad cheaper/smaller?

like I said guys, I'm wondering myself why so expensive, here's my reply to their email:

QUOTE
WOW... mind if I ask why so expensive??? I mean the front kits cost us all $1000.00 I'm sorry to say none of the guys will pay more for a rear kit when a front kit is 1k... to tell you the truth they were all expecting for the kit to be bigger than stock but smaller than the front ones you guys make for us that are 13"... so they were all expecting between 800-1000 at least... damn don't know what to say man... sorry but let me see
And I have a feeling they thought I was talking of the v6 tib for you guys...

QUOTE
P.S. you do know we're asking for the 1998-2002 systems, not the NEW BODY style v6's that we know are more expensive systems...

the rear brakes are the same from the new tib to the older body styles. Only difference is 5 lug vs 4 lug.

Well guys, that's it can't do anymore for now:

QUOTE
Hey Yuri,

The big difference in price as to do with the fact that this kit also replaces the parking brake on these vehicles. That does take some extra cost and parts.

We are aware of what models you were talking about, but we also can't just give away the kits. We're sorry if that seems to be too much, but at that price and the discount we have offered to you for a group buy...it is fair.

Let me know if we can help
