i'm stationed in germany and just had my freakin blizzak lm 25 blow this morning, fdoing like 10mph on post!!! man i'm pissed, but i need a new rim and tire now. the tires i can order here no problem. but according to the place where i can order rims here in germany, the only size they can get me is 15x6 with ET(offset) of 46, would this fit or be a problem? i thought the stock size for a 2001 ( what i own) is 45? any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Sorry, but some of the links aren't working anymore.

Will 15" wheels 6.5 or 7" wide with a 40mm offset fit? I think they should, but seems like everyone just does 16 or 17" wheels and its hard to find info for the 15"ers. I just really want to make sure thanks.

^^^Yeah, they will fit with no problem at all.

Just think, if I had 18x7's with nearly no rub when I was lowered about 1 inch, you should have no problems whatsoever with a 15x7.

What tire would you run though? 225/40? or 215/45?

How much lower than stock are you?

The tires are going to be 205/50s and Im lowered about 1.5 inches. And the offset is ok too being 5mm less?
Thanks

^ Stock offset is +42.

205/50, 215/50, 215/45 & 225/45 would all be acceptable tire sizes on 15" rims.

Keep it at between +38 & +42 offset & you should be ok on 6.5" to 7" rims.

Hey i have read through most of the stuff on all of these sites and i am still dumb when it comes to wheel widths sizes and offset. I used the calculator on the one and i think it would work but i don't know.

Here is my question. Basically my car looks much different than it did when i was in the COTM. Anyway i want to break down and buy some Volks but i want them to have a deep lip....So what i get from reading is the lower the number the farther in it pushes in the mounting point so the deeper the lip correct???

So my options are...and don't b**** at me cause yes my car is a show car and always will be.... 18 X 7.5 with offset options ranging from 45,44, 38,39,31, 24.

So i know the 45 and 44 would work cause thats what i have now but in 17's with a 215/45/17 tire.

So the calculator says i could do a 18X7.5 with a 31 offset this would clear the suspension but would stick out .7" further towards the fender. Now i have no problem shaving a bit off but i'm lowered 1.75" all around with the B&G springs. I don't mind them tucking at all either. So does anyone know if this will really work with a little shaving of the fenders or am i way off base and i should look at the 39 and 44 offsets.

On the tire end i have no clue.

So tell me what you think or if i'm stupid or whatever...just remember the car just goes to car shows and i'm a ricer at heart.... cool.gif

do you drive it to shows, or is it trailered? Basically, if the furtherest the car is driven is on and off a trailer and maybe around the show area... go with a really deep dish low offset rim. If you actually drive the car to and from shows (especially for any distance) try and keep the number closer to stock. The further you get to zero offset, the more undrivable your car is going to get as it will wander and try and follow any and all imperfections in the road.

Not to mention all the wear and tear on your suspension.

Ok..so i drive it to all shows(don't believe in the trailer queen thing)...so what is the lowest safely driveable offset in a 18x7.5 size with little to no modification considering that it doesn't go many other places than to shows.

Thanks
