How much did the dust covers set you back? Did you also do your wheel bearings and which ones did you use... the accent or lantra ones?

I got new lower ball joints and they come with the dust covers, there like $19.00 a piece. 99 Elantra an 02 Accent use the same bearing.

Were are you getting your brake lines from?

I was wondering if I could get away with braided line and speedflow fittings? would that work??? If not There about $50 a corner at the local clutch and brake shop.

I thought this might be good info to add in this thread. Doing some research I found that the 2003 Elantra and a 2004 Tib 4 cylinder share the same bearing part# 510078. Not sure why but the 6 cylinder has a different part# 510076. This means there is a good chance that the hub for the Tib will press into the XD Elantra knuckle. So Basically im talkin a 5 lug conversion here people. The only obsticle is the rear 5 lug hub. You would need to replace that bearing with one that has the inside diameter spec of the Accent. Once my brake conversion is done and Floyds modified grill is complete I will get my hands on some parts and get the bearings figured out. I will Also work on getting a bearing that will work in the front for anyone (like me) that is using the late 90's era Elantra knuckle.

Floyd please update the first post. 4x100 lug conversion now proven, no longer a theory. Change the knuckle, rotor and caliper from XD Elantra to J1?(99) Elantra with LC Hub. Also create 4x100 11" rotor conversion, 99 Lantra knuckle, 02 Accent hub, 04 Tiburon Calipers and 04 Sonata rotor. Will post some pics later but she brakes very nice!
