That's right, she says I'm too big and need to get SMALLER. I searched a bit and it looks do-able, but I haven't encountered anyone that has actually done a swap.
So, I'm looking to swap out my XG BBK to an Accent "Small Brake Kit". Before I waste my time at the junkyard, I want to see if anyone here knows for sure.
1. I need an Accent front brake system that will fit 13" wheels EASILY. Are the calipers tight clearance to the factory 13" wheels?
2. The rotors need to be 4x114.3. Which year Accents have this pattern?
3. Do the studs have the same diameter?
4. Do you know for sure that Accent calipers and Tiburon calipers are a direct swap?
I know, these are probably noob questions for those who have gone bigger.

All X3's were 4x114.3, that's up through 99. LC is 4x100. I think all X3's were captive rotor, I know my 97 is.
Wheel studs are the same size.
I have factory 14's on my X3 but there's a lot of clearance, I just looked I'd say close to an inch. I might be able to fit 12's over them lol.

So it sounds like this can't happen if they're captive rotors correct? Unless I wanted to go to a captive setup.....

Yes, but they won't fit my Tiburon. I want 13" wheels on my Tiburon. So I thought maybe I could swap calipers and rotors from an Accent to do so.
I wonder if the LC Accent calipers bolt up and then I can just redrill the rotors for 4x114.3? But, I'd have to make sure the 13's clear the calipers.

You want 13's so you can run a taller sidewall slick?
I've seen here tha somebody with an LC did a gk brake swap. I think the opposite could be done. The base lc has 13" steelies.

13's have more slick options.
I'll need to get my hands on LC calipers and rotors. I would just hate to waste money testing this theory. I doubt my junkyard has LC's. They typically have older vehicles.
