Well that clip may have something to do with it actually. Remember I said above that I swapped out my rear pards and rotors? I'll bet that was the cause. The shim over time prolly set it's self in a groove or was worn down enough not to cause noise due to the fact that the wheel mostly turns forward. Maybe the shimm is just catching the rotor when going backwards cause it moves differently.

See where I'm heading with this?? Where did you get your pads from?

why did it go away suddenly when i removed, then replaced the pads and made sure all those bolts were tight etc etc ... then come back a few days later?
i know it has SOMETHING to do with the brakes because it only happens when i slightly apply the brakes in reverse, if i accelerate in reverse it doesn't happen.

Did you try removing the clip all together? When I went from stock to EBC a couple of years ago, I removed the "anti-vibration" clips altogether.. and have not had a single problem with either vibration or a braking. I would try removing them and see what happens. They might not be fitting your new pads exactly right, which would make MORE vibratiuon.

but only on one wheel? and the sound im almost positive is metal-metal...its a GRIND its so loud too, everyone who gets in the car like freaks out when they hear it beacuse it sounds like my wheel is falling off (like a bearing pretty much, but im pretty sure it's not that.)
could someone pull up some pics for me? what are the vibration clips? i've honestly never done anything more than brake pads, i don't know anything about wheels

i just remembered this, but the weird thing is when my pads were really low it was THAT wheel that was squeaky ALL the time, it was always squeaking and creaking (even moving forward), and was quite annoying.
