Test Drove A New Sonata Today!
#1
Went to a dealership today and took 05 V6 LX Sonata for a test drive!
Car is amazingly roomy. I'm 6'2" and I didn't have to put the seat all the way back to be comfy, front leg room is just amazing! Rear leg room is great too! With me sitting in front it could definitely comfortably fit another me in the back.
Power is great. Low end TQ feels very nicely! Car goes 0-50 very very quick!
Brakes are super! Stops the car very fast!
I'm very impressed and would consider buying one if I ever needed a family car.

did the dealership appreciate the fact that you had no intentions of buying it? lol
how hard did they try pushing the sale
are you even in the market for a new car? you just got a Camaro..

Should've persuaded them that you'd buy it...do burnouts in it...completely molest the transmission and tires. Constantly reassure them you'll buy the car. And the after the test drive, ask if they have it in bright green. Obviously, they'll say no. And suggest that you'd only buy the car if they had it in that color, and just walk out the lot.

I told the guy that my mom is looking for a new car after I'm done paying for the Elantra in about 6 months or so. She really is looking for a car, but she's leaning more towards the SUVs.
I'm not looking for a new car right now, but would seriously consider a new Sonata over a Maxima or something similar when I'll be looking for a family car in a few years.
AC, I would never do anything like this to a car. I admire cars and would not try to molest it in any way. All the cars that I've had and driven were very well taken care off and always babied!

One that I drove today was LX model, the best one, only thing it was missing was a moonroof and a sticker price was $24,XXX. Not bad at all, IMO!
All it would need is a Navy and some HIDs!

I saw one the other day.. they are a nice looking car. Not as bland as a Camry, but not as drop dead gorgous as an Acura TSX... handsome is a good word for it. A classy car that looks like it worth more than it's sticker price.

I was considering getting a Sonata for a daily driver. It really is a nice car. The only problem is the sticker price. You can get a well equiped Maxima for that.
But, what you can do, is take advantage of the chitty resale value and buy it used for $15k or less. I like the sonatas with the funky lights, (last model). So I'll probably get me one of those used and slap an Alpine on it.
What got me into it was my friend who rented one for a week. It has the same pickup as the new Tib. It really is quick. Seems like it weighs the same as the new Tib also. So I wouldn't mind having a 14sec daily driver with luxuries. fing02.gif
