I have scavenged many XS's for parts for my RS. LOL. They made quite a few more fwd ones but they were still a blast to drive. Especially the 92 with the 1.8l

Quick update - I ended up selling my Accent (for WAY more than I ever thought I would get). So this project is now getting my full time and attention. I've been driving it here and there. I'm boosting @ 14.7 psi (fuel cut hits after that) and this car pulls like a monster! I've had a few kids in Civics want to race, but as soon as we accelerate and they hear the BOV they usually let off / give up LOL!! People want to talk at red lights and at gas stations every time I take the car out, it's pretty crazy. Nobody has any idea what it is or how old it is. It's been pretty fun.

I was in the process of swapping out the front suspension for the third time (to fix the ride height issue) when the drivers side axle fell apart on me. They don't make/sell new ones so I need to find someone to re-build my current one. My car may be off the road for a while because of this. On a positive note, I changed out the passenger side suspension before the drivers side and the ride height is was perfect with apx 2 inches of wheel gap front and back!

I also picked this up today! It has no engine or trans but the body is PERFECT! It will be used for parts.

Little update - Still boosting in the red RS. I've had it out a handful of times already this year. I don't drive it very often, I don't think I've even put 1000 kms on it since buying it. Raced a V6 GK Tib a while back. I use the word "raced" loosely, it was over pretty quick. lol.

I also just picked up this - blueRS.jpg blueRS2.jpg

Isuzu only imported 800 of these cars to North America in 1991 (only available 1 year in the turbo AWD version) and of those 800 only 200 came to Canada. I consider myself VERY lucky to even find this car. It was in storage for over 6 years. It was located apx 4 hours away from me. It was a LONG day picking this thing up. Despite the car looking to be in ok shape it is actually rusted beyond repair underneath. Motor only has 128000 km's. It will be removed and rebuilt/built for my other Impulse RS. I am hoping for 400+ HP. The rest of the car, minus a few pieces, will be scrapped.

Nice. Mine was that color.

BTW, (if you ever need it) I still have that brand new, unpainted hood scoop and the black insert sitting on a shelf in my garage. All I'd ask for it is the cost of shipping.

And it begins. 1 of 5 customs sets of Arias pistons made for the1.6t Isuzu motor. .020 over 9:2:1 cr. ARPs are next on the list to buy. Motor build we begin once all parts are collected.

Also installed BMW style halos and clear front signal/parking covers. The clear covers are actually back up light covers off a late 80's Dodge Colt. They fit almost perfect.

Have been out of the Hyundai game for a while now. Not sure if anyone cares for an update but here it is.

After driving the red RS for 1200kms I had the trans let go on it. Thankfully I had the blue parts car, ended up swapping the trans over from it with another new clutch kit. This Isuzu is cursed. It's been nothing but a headache and is constantly needing repair. I refuse to give up on it and will have it until the day I die, or it blows up, what ever comes first. Guessing the latter. lol.

I made another silly car purchase a few months ago. Bought a 1992 Celica GT-Four RC. RHD, turbo and all wheel drive. It's the highest HP Celica Toyota ever made. It was imported from Japan a few years ago. It is ridiculously fast and super fun to drive. I picked it up for way less than what it's worth as the owner was moving and needed it gone. I shot him a low-ball offer and he took it!? Never expected to buy it, but couldn't pass up a deal like I got.

Hope everyone misses me and is doing well.
