wow.. now i see it.. the subtleness of it is crazy. looks really cool.

post some after pictures of everything installed/painted..

i love your style man.. you can add like 40 changes to your car, and unless someone knows that you did it, they could never tell. but the changes make it look so much better.

(yea I know, tech support vehicle..haha)

73' 2002 (aka, the "roundie" or the "fast poke"). I had an old blue one, but I am upgrading to a '76 2002tii that does not run (lol). But only has 35,000 miles on it (in 32 years....) and an amazing body (original silver). It's actually not really even a silver. In the old days, cars raced with flags on their hoods (not cigarette packs and laundry detergent). Hitler was well known for awarding large cash prizes for winning German cars (thus their awesome cars... ). They were known to skimp on paint to save ounces on their race models (the 1976 2002tii), hence, whay a lot of older German cars are silver.

THAT's what I'm doing! only lil' different. I have a built '86 318 engine and trans. 5spd, aggresive gearing, cams, high comp pistons, port matched intake manifold, three way valve job, larger throttle body, full exhaust, and chipped ecu. Swapping into the '76 tii and then it will be a really "fast poke".

The M40 is not the best engine for what you want to do... but the M42 out of the 318is responds very well to intake, exhaust, and compression.. Do a search for BMW S42. That was the very limited build of an Mtech M42 engine

Very cool! Good to see you still posting and modding cars.

That sucks you had to go to Hicksville. I've heard theres a lot of druggies there, so I try to stay away.

If you must know.. Silver is Germany's official racing colour. Just as Red is the official colour of Italy and "british Racing Green" is the colour for the UK. Japan is white and the US is blue with a white stripe

cool.gif it is the coolest racing colour!

Mad, my mistake. It is 6cyl M20 out of 86' 325. Hand me down race engine, low race miles. From an old friend...

I just hope it works.
It's gonna look (and sound) like an old foreign ricer, lol. The way the rear underside of the 2002 is forces the exhaust straight out the middle. I'm gonna try to get a twin tip and make it look alright. Or route out the sides and burn my legs everytime I get out of the thing! WOOT! kidding..

g'luck on your "retirement" MadMachine!
