my dads honda..
Looks like light went out.. however, when changing the bulb - its still dead...
when measuring voltage.. still has 12 volt on output.
when removing right headlight capacitor, left bulb starts lighting up, but takes a while.. if connected directly to battery - turns on fine. so its not a bulb...
Left light is out.
when put cap from the right headlight back, left socket goes dead...
not sure if explained correctly.. but..
does anyone have a headlight connection diagramm by any chance?
so far i see just that we dont have ground on it

i don't know if it's the same problem as you're having, but coincidently today i've finally replaced the passenger bulb in my dad's 2000 elantra that has been dim for a long time. i looked at the bulb and it didn't seem like it was damaged at all. i checked the fuses and they were brand new. i checked the socket and tested the power output. only two of the plugs were powering the bulb!
so what i did was, took the plug out of the socket, took a butane soldering tool and soldered the connection which was loose, put everything back together and it lit up like christmas should.
1. Check the fuse box under the hood. each headlight has a fuse. neither should be broken.
2. Check the light socket to see if the wires in the socket are connected and tightened. if possible solder the connection which seems to be loose, put everything back together and hope for the best.
