Ferrari LaFerrari is beautifully redundant
The successor the Ferrari Enzo has officially bowed. Ferrari pulled the sheets back on the oddly named LaFerrari at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, calling the machine the "maximum expression" of what defines the automaker. In this case, that includes a 6.3-liter V12 engine with 789 horsepower married to a 160-hp electric motor. The combination is good for a full 949 hp and 663 pound-feet of torque, and Ferrari says the LaFerrari can punch to 62 miles per hour in under three seconds. Keep your foot planted and 124 mph will click by in a scant seven seconds, while top speed sits at a lofty 205 mph.
Engineers turned to a total of four different types of hand-laminatated carbon fiber to create a chassis that's both stiffer and lighter than would have otherwise been possible. With a 41/59 weight distribution, carbon-ceramic brakes and ultra-light calipers, the LaFerrari is unlike anything we've seen from the company to date. The automaker says its creation is the fastest in its long history. You can take a look at the in-depth press release, as well as a video, below for more information, and be sure to check out the model's new site here.

It doesn't look bad but it doesn't look great. Especially the rear.
Both the interior and exterior are too complicated. It contradicts itself. Everything on the inside should be plain like an F1 car and not toy-ish. Have Boeing's and other commercial aircraft changed a lot since the 1950's? No. Why? Because they've achieved a mastery of their performance.
It's no wonder Ferrari have not been doing good in Formula one for the past decade. They over-design their cars instead of concentrating on simplicity like Redbull, Lotus, and even Mercedes.

The new Lambo is hot too, but 2 totally different machines. You're comparing Red Macs to Malus.
Lambo is all light, no nonsense , balls to the wall speed. With nothing between your nuts and the road but some cloth and sheet carbon.
LaFerrari is technical insanity. It's supposed to be over-designed and bloated; safety to make going faster feasible longer, even into a corner.
It's like comparing a Veyron to an FXX, or a Tib to Camry.
And for that matter, Red Bull defined insanity in design when they started building speed induced flex into the from wing. They designed composts just for use on their F1. If that's not over-deign, I don't know what is.
Simplicity would be Marussia.

Ferrari or Lambo. Both will be driven by people over the age and under the speed of 55 here in North America.
Side note, I went to drop off my car to get the windows tinted and sat in a beautiful white Gallardo with a blue top.
I <3 teh bull

You can "
" when its in your garage.
I rented one in Maui a few years ago. It was a blast to drive, but if your in the market to spend 200+ grand there are much better cars.

You're referring to the performance of the materials themselves. Redbull don't cheat. Adrian Newey is THE BEST aerodynamicist period. Their gains nearly all depend from efficient aerodynamics which is why he always constructs a smooth simple design. Meanwhile, Ferrari care less about aerodynamics and mostly depend on structural performance. Stefano Domenicalli has stated this all throughout the last 3 years.
Thus you get two totally different F1 cars that are variably suited to different tracks. Redbull for example will gain only on straights and less on corners. The opposite is true for Ferrari because they rely mostly on suspension. They hired two new aerodynamicists in order to solve their problems but from the looks of their over-designed cars it doesn't seem to be working.
Marussia just doesn't have money and they never ever develop, advance, or change their shell. They're considered one of the "back-end" teams like Force India. Those teams are just in it for commercial investment. They can't even afford to replace their engines.

LOL! Ready. Set. Here I come.
The RD1 is the epitome of smooth curvaceous deliciousness.

This (to me at least) is ideal aerodynamic function here on planet earth where there exists air and wind, not in outer space where you can build any which way you want and get away with selling a product that is not based on its sculpture. Space doesn't require covers or aerodynamic limitations. If you want to win my heart here on earth among nature and life, you replicate it.

These new cars look like vacuum cleaners. Not like cars.
