My dad had mid 70s corvette stingray in mint condition when I was younger. Used to love driving around with him in it. I think I was more heartbroken than him the day he sold it.

They had an Opel GT that was pretty cool, but got rid of it before I can remember. Had a nice CJ-5 though up until I was 5ish.

I'll post this again: Polski Fiat 126p

100% Polish design. One of the longest producing cars in the world. These things are a 1.0L 2-cylinder Rear-drive Rear-engine, and are still running great for 40 years. I praise this car because it held a whole country/culture and beyond in great shape during dark times--something no other manufacturer or design could do.

Yep, my dad bought a brand new 1973 Mach 1 Mustang after he graduated High School. He sold it about 7 years ago for about double the price he paid for it. Much as he loved it, he didn't seem sad to let it go. Now that I'm looking for pictures of it again, I miss it!

Looked just like this one, except the black was FLAT black. Too cool.

Course, we also had a 1990 VW Jetta DIESEL. Had like 60 hp. Could barely reach 80 downhill with a tailwind. Threw black clouds out the back like nobody's business. Had to turn off the A/C to accelerate. Passing a car took like 20 seconds. And it was my family's only car for about 8 years (other than the mustang which we rarely drove). 2 parents, 2 kids in the back, but it definitely worked!
