so i will be buying a bike later this year. i grew up on dirtbikes and have ridden streetbikes like gsr750s but i would love a touring bike like this one.

or after looking i see that Aprilia makes a sweet dualsport, supermoto style
im really undecided. my budget is somewhere around 7000, but i might be able to go brand new and finance something if the money and timing is right.

Something must be in the air. I went bike shopping yesterday, and then saw Turboron had bought one lol.
I looked around a bit and I think I'm gonna go with a Kawasaki Versys 650. I won't be buying it for a while though. Have some projects to wrap up first.

Thats why im pickin the 650, cuz it is my first bike and i dont wanna kill myself on it, but still go FAST
Which is why im not thinkin bout the 1000
I know if i get the 1000 i will do something OVERLY Stupid in it and end up in a ditch or something
see i live in the country, so whenever i go driving i tend to... well... get on the throttle a bit :biggrin:

I think MSRP is $7500 IIRC. There are a couple 2011's at a local dealership for $5k. I'm assuming they're lightly used, but look new. I would prefer to buy used and save money. I don't plan on laying it down, I have about 10 years of riding experience and plan on riding conservatively.
I like it because I prefer the seating position to a typical sport bike but the styling is still pretty cool. The suspension is designed for rough roads, they use to consider it a dual sport. I don't like cruisers but I want to be able to comfortably ride long distances.

Just found this thread, Funny, i just bought my First StreetBike, I have been riding motorcycles sense i was 8 or so, I Just bought this bike a few days ago, and it now has 250miles on it, got a killer deal. 7K it had 29 miles on it, it is a 2009 SFV650 Vtwin, basically there version of the Ducati up top on this thread, and or the Buells. Love this thing and i cant seem to get off this thing!!
I have already on the way a Fender Eliminator kit, to give it the clean SuperMoto look as that is what i want, and i have a slip on exhaust in the mail, i will update the pics as parts are installed!!!

YEA!!! I lknow, the white is actually a Pearl, It doesnt show in the pics, i will find away to make it show more after my mods are installed! Also the blue is just rediculosly bright. I love it for sure. And it is different. how many tube Frame naked bikes do you see a day?
