My friend just got a (POS) civic hatch with an acura B18 in it, the car is crappy dented and rusty on the outside, but he talks so much crap about that engine.
Is it really that fast of a car?
And what about CRX's, how do those things compare to tibs? I mean they weigh practically nothing..(another friend just got one of those)
BTW*this post is not related to street racing, strictly numbers and info.

what I know about the civicĀ“s chassis, is that it weights like 1000kg... that is almost 200kg less than our tibs.
that is with the stock engine.
with that engine those cars maybe weight like 1100 with our power 140hps.
and CRX weight something like that or maybe even less. so that combination is kind of dangerous for us.
we definitively can not beat this cars, well talking about a stock RD.
I have an auto tib, and like 6 month ago I raced with an Integra 1.8 Non-vtec, he ddidnt have 17 wheels like me, the car had only a muffler and filter and he beat me for like 3-4 feet, With this what I try to say is that the weight does almost everything.
i dont think that guy beated me just beacuse of the wheels weight, right?

the b18 in that car makes for one hell of a potent combination.
sure, the torque on the engine is kind of low for the amount of power its making, but when you can pick up your car with 4 people, it wont matter. wink1.gif

i had a 88 crx and it is very light, that thing picks up pretty good. The Rex's with a b18... is the b18 a ITR gsr? if it is.. its pushing 170 weighing at 1700 pounds.

CRX's are even lighter than the Civic hatch. All the stock motors they came with were pretty crappy (62-105hp depending on trim level), but they're so light it doesn't take much. The HF (base) model is the prime choice for engine swappers with a curb weight of 1800lbs.
Slap an Integra GSR B18C in an HX, throw on an a few bolt-ons and you're running 13's.
