Okay, I got a 2008 Elantra HD for my rental car, and though I like it a LOT, the automatic still sucks balls.
I got a bunch of pics, and will post them shortly, but a few interesting things about the engine...
1. New engine cover.
2. The ECU IS IN THE ENGINE BAY, right next to the new fuse box.
3. Diagnostic port in the engine bay behind ECU.
4. New Radiator and ONE big ass 150W fan.
5. No Power Steering pump. Huh? I'm serious, if there's one in there, they moved it.
6. New IM, throttle and cruise cables on opposite side of IM now.
7. New intake, still sucks.
8. MAF.
9. New prop rod on the passenger side of engine bay. Wierd.

I will get them up today. I wanted to get some night pics of the interior lighting last night, it's amazing that it's OEM. I was, however, too drunk to do so, so I will pull it in the garage and get them today.

It has electric power steering instead of mechanical power steering. pretty cool shizzle.
Also in manual transmition REVERSE is near 1 gear, you need to pull lever and move shifter to the left and forward.
Front calipers are bigger and are not infront of rotor (like in Tib). They are in base (between rear and front axles). Cool stuff - weight distribution. smile.gif like in sport cars, lol.

No.
Pics up soon, I got some interior shots.
BTW, the Sorento was given 2800 more in damages, and now I've got the Elantra for 2 more weeks.

Yeah, it's electronic steering.
Also you can't add a CAI to it without throwing a code. They made them alot more sentive to changes in the intake.
They are making the cars harder to modify without telling the computer to ignore stuff first.

I drove one as well when I went up to Ottawa 2 weeks ago. I was very impressed. Much better then I expected...heated seats, A/C, MP3 Player...good stuff.
