okay after my '05 mustang thread, I am now debating getting an '04 SRT-4.

(the pic is a photochop, but still cool)

Friggin fast as hell stock, and at low cost!

For the money, can anyone think of something else I should be considering?

BTW, I am still keeping the Tib.

Unless you want new

Yeah I do want "new".
I have a daughter now, and kinda need a 4 door (even though the wife has a Santa Fe).
I think this would work perfectly. but I want your good people opinions smile.gif

Yeah Ericy321, For the money it's a steal!

I want to wait to see what the '07 Tiburon looks like, but at the same time, I CAN"T WAIT!! LOL

Definitely a great car for the money, but there are better alternatives.

A lot of ricers have these cars. It's like another high school car that a lot of people can buy. SOme 18 yr old kid got himself srt-4 with a BOV and an exhaust and he thinks he's the shit and can beat every car on the road (reminds you of something?)
4 door.... just doesn't float my boat...
Very crappy interior with falling off shift knob....
The biggest turn off.... FWD.... there isn't much you can do with it! You can make a shit load of power but you will not be able to put that power to the ground...
I hear a lot of problems with those cars

Good things:
Relatively cheap, not that hard to mod, pretty cheap to mod, can be made pretty damn fast

IMO, you better off with a real car with potential such as mustang, camaro, firebird, or so on. Get something RWD or AWD!

What car does a "Ricer" not own?

I need a 4-door now that I am a new dad. (even though the wife has a Santa Fe.

I could say the same thing about the Tiburon, but you have to remember these are not expensive cars for a reason wink1.gif

Well you can buy aftermarket axles, etc,... and you can get the power to the ground.
I seen a 450 bhp SRT-4 run 11's wink1.gif

LOL, a real car? hehe, okay I wont touch this one.
But I know what your saying, I want a RWD extremely bad, as I do miss driving them!
I would love to see if the rumors are true about the 2007 Camaros.

This is the dilemma I face 02.gif

Get the SRT4, there was one beside me at a stop light, and I asked the guy to floor it for me and when the light turned green, it was like nothing I have ever seen. He said he had a Stage 2 upgrade. If I could afford one I would buy it.

Agree, but SRT is like another civic now.

If you don't mind a 4 door, then I'd look into STI or EVO.

No, I mean their interior is butt fugly! It's worse than my camaro! You ever sat inside a neon? If you did, you'd know what I'm talking about!

Anything is possible, but as far as I'm concerned STR-4s are stuck in 11s for now. And that 11 second srt has a shit load of money in it! Axles, differentials, etc will help, but you gotta be one hell of a driver to put down to the ground 450whp with FWD! Also, torque steer... it's just not very pleasant on those cars...

I didn't mean to say it that way, but RWD or AWD will always own FWD!

I hear those rumors as well, but I guess we gotta wait and see what GM will come up with smile.gif

Why did you give up on a mustang? I'd pimp 05 gt smile.gif

You haven't seen much if you think stage 2 srt-4 is fast...

Honestly here where I live, I see more tiburons then I do SRT-4's.
I might go days, weeks without even seeing one.

The EVO and STi is completly out of the question, way too much money.

I am currious about the torque steer you mentioned, since I hav'nt test driven one yet.

About the '05 Stang, ... the GT is out of the question due to insurance rates.
I still might consider the V6 and get it Blown. ... still undecided.

Go test drive one. See how you like it and then decide. Don't buy a car from other people's stories and car magazines.

How about regular WRX?
