I'm looking for a 1996-2000 Tiburon or Elantra 2.0 5th gear, both sides of it and the synchro rings. Shoot me a price, thanks!

Bump! For reference the stock 5th gear from the dealership costs $70. Willing to trade + cash.

Just a note. For the work to get it out someone probably wont want to do it. Unless they have a bad trans apart already.

I'm thinking someone's got to have a old tranny laying around somewhere from a beta 2 swap. I just want the 5th gear. If you have a gear puller it should take less then 10 minutes to get it out and there's some money to be made on stuff sitting around. It's not a big operation at all

Here's the video to disassemble the transmission.

I really want to know who removes their transmission with a TOB still attached lol.

What type of engine did it come from? It has to be a 2.0 from early 2000 or prior.

I'd pay $70 for the gear, cone, washer and synchro ring. I'd even send back mine so you'd still have a complete tranny.

It must be in working condition with no grinding.

Can't promise any grinding. I bought it for an extra two years ago from a 98 Tiburon.

5th gear is on the outside of the tranny so pulling it out would be easy and quick..

as long as it's from a 2.0, It's going to raise my gear ratio and give me better gas milage on the highway. The 2001 Tiburon comes with what was previously the 1.8L transmission. The pre 2001 2.0 transmission was higher geared. So it's important that it's from a 2.0 transmission.

It's a trade that's important to me. I do alot of highway miles. I'm trading passing power for gas milage.
