DTN, I installed a mod chip in my old PS1, it was awesome. This was my original plan, but...
Can you make it so I can still play xbox live?
Also, I have read that a LOT of the N64 emulators are pretty crappy, and that you miss lots of features in the games, lots of glitches, etc.

Pat, which ones? Would ya sell em?

just stopping by to say "those were the days"

was looking at ps3 at wal*mart the other day and realized todays kids have everything handed to them. 64 was awesome, zelda was the best. too bad they shut down quicker than expected there were some good games that were cancelled and moved to other platforms.

goldeneye changed a bunch of people's lives including mine. still play it! i don't have anything for you zoned sorry but if i decide to sell my official carrying bag i'll sell it to you for more than i paid for it fing02.gif

Yes, you can still play live. You press and hold the power button to start without the chip. When configured properly, the xecuter3 chip will not allow you to connect to xbox live. Trust me when I say it's a good price to have it installed for $100 + shipping. It took me about 5 weeks to learn what is needed to run a chip. I now have everything you could ever want on an xbox including 500 stations of internet radio, games galore copied to the hard drive (upgraded to 120G so i can burn xbox games to the HD), TV from baghdad(and alot of other places)

For me, I can get an xbox operational with everything listed above in aproximately 10 hours. It will take about 5 weeks if you've never done it before.

What experience do you have with the 64 emulators DTN? I've read that Surreal64 is the best one, but that none of them are really that good..

Daedalus X is another one i've used. I like surreal. Have you checked for a new version? The version of surreal I have plays most n64 games.

They have N64 emulators for the computer too. I have used a bunch of them, but none stand out in my mind right now. You can pretty much gaurantee that if you try all of them with different settings, you'll get a game to work.

you could also try thrift shops or second hand stores, Ive seen them in there for like $10. And they have millions and millions of games for dirt cheap.

gamespot has them for like $2. ebay is the best place overall because you don't spend gas money driving adding to the cost.
