I can get you one my friend. I believe mine was like $120 with a $40 core. Shipping would probably put it right around $150 to $170 brand new, and with no core, the price won't drop. If you get me the part number for the one you want, I'll do some searching and see if that's the cheapest I can get it.
Have you tried places over here in Oz? It'd be cheaper for postage.
I had both done a year & a bit ago. When I was getting quotes here in Sydney, nobody seemed to think they'd be hard to get.

Sorry about the delay.
If the 1.8L & 2.0L motors use the same driveshafts, then I can get you a driver's side driveshaft for $AU99.
The place I called supplies quite a few of the workshops & mechanics around Sydney with their driveshafts but they have it listed under SX Coupe & they seem to think it's not the same as the one in the FX. If they aren't the same, let me know & I'll keep trying... Unless you have a 1.8L SX (I couldn't find the info on your car bro).
I'm not sure how much it'd cost to ship it to NZ though.
EDIT*: Just spoke to some spare parts person at Hyundai & she actually used to live in NZ. She's surprised you can't find any over there. She asked where exactly you were located but I had no idea. She reckons around Auckland & Wellington, it should be a piece of piss to find drivshafts. Have you tried local places that specialise in just doing driveshafts? Don't get one through Hyundai though, she quoted around $150-200, which is up to two times dearer than some other places have quoted.

I could find one but is was $180 bucks used,, that was from Auckland, im sure i can source one cheaper from overseas.
as long as it dosn't have ABS and isnt automatic it shloud be ok i guess , are you couldn't find anything for a 2.0l fx coupe, i think the fx and the sx were just trim differences and the option of ABS or not.
look forward to getting a reply thanks so much for your help.
