They look really nice.

I will definitely be getting one, assuming the price is reasonable.

Also, I searched for half an hour and couldn't find anything about an idle switch. Is there an easy way to tell if I have one?

okay,we're not monday yet but i had to get back at the shop for other stuff,so i looked at pricing for you

regular pricing is 175$can
we could do 150$can for the forum members

they can be done with halfshafts like the one in the picture (more flow, only one side of the shaft remains) or they can be done with full shaft (a bit less flow but more strenght) if prefered. On my car i've been using the half shaft one since about 2002 without problems and it's the one we sell the most

shipping is extra but shouldn't be expensive with canada post / usps
we need your stock TB back, so we can wait for your stock TB to come in before shipping the oversized one or we can charge an extra 75$can wich will be refunded once we get your stock TB back

Each TB gets inspected for visual damage and is then disassembled, the body goes right to the glass bead with the other small parts to get cleaned and get a like new appearance, the levers wich are made of steel received a coat of black paint to prevent rust, once everything is clean the body gets rebored, and new 58mm butterfly is made out of t6 aluminium after that the TB's are reassembled with button head screws for the half shaft ones

for the idle switch,
it's easy to tell, it's a brass switch on the rear of the TB (toward the firewall) and it has a single wire hooked up to it ,most cars don't have it
if you're in doubt, just post a pic of your actual TB

OK, two questions... First, do you need an identical unit back for the core charge? I ask because right now I amassing parts for a future build. I may not install this right away. I could go to the junk yard and find you one, but need to know if you need an identical one back. Will any Beta TB be fine? Second, do you grind down and smooth out the full shaft TB's like this:

Or do you leave the shaft stock, like this:

It's not a big deal... I can do this myself. I just want to know what I'm getting for the $150.

closer pic will give you a better idea

i need a similar core,beta2 core for a beta2 tb
you can send me a cruise control one if you need a non-cruise control one if you want,i can modify the shaft of those to convert them to non-cruise control
basicly,i just want to have all model available in stock,if everybody is sending us beta2 tb instead because they're easier or cheaper to find i won't have any beta1 left for the other guys

Yes, 58mm is the farthest you can go (technically I think it's 58.5mm, but whatever...), after that you start cutting into the cooling jacket that goes around it.

I was actually asking about the full shaft unit, not the half shaft. See the pics I posted.

58mm is the max we go
and on some TB we have to plug the water coolant holes

the full shatf one are usually uncut full shaft, but i could put it on the milingl to give it a quick cut, i'll need to check that

Cool. I figured since you're going to have it apart maybe you could do it. 'Course I could just pull it apart and do it myself. Not like I haven't done that a few times. wink.gif

a sub forum might be nice, but about 8 months a year i'm kinda limited on time,so i might not be able to reply to everyone as fast as i would want 02.gif

Well, if you have anyone else to answer questions for your guys, I can put them as moderators for those subforums too. Even if you can't reply every day within 5 minutes or so, it's better than nothing. Besides, you answer my questions all the time via IM, so having a place for you guys to put up your goods and answer questions about them is good for all, and much better than leaving it all in French on some Canadian website that we can't read.

LOL

IM me later today or this week.
